We are hiring talent for training classes in Kansas City. This position offers paid training, full employee benefits and a competitive base salary!
The Claims Training Program begins with participation in a 4-6 week classroom training where the principles of managing disability claims are learned. You will learn how to effectively conduct investigations and obtain documentation required to provide resolutions to each claim. After participating in the structured training program, on-the-job training begins where you will apply the skills learned in training to actual claims management with the guidance of an assigned mentor.
During training you will: * Actively participate to develop the knowledge, skills, and capabilities needed to be a successful Claims Case Manager. *
Learn how to conduct investigations to determine whether or not to accept liability, and to approve or deny benefits accordingly. * Learn to effectively risk manage claims, apply appropriate contractual provisions, legal guidelines, case management resources and claim procedures, concepts, principles, and protocols. Once you have successfully completed the Claims Training Program you will be assigned your own case load of claims to manage with the guidance of your mentor and manager. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent. * Focus on delivering top-quality customer service. * Possess an attention to detail and strong organizational skills to successfully handle multiple tasks and assigned caseload. * Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with claimants, employers, and various medical professionals. * Ability to make difficult decisions by carefully considering what the "right thing to do" is for each situation.
