Title: College Relations Recruiter Location: USA-KS-Olathe Other Locations: Garmin is seeking a College Relations Recruiter to join our team. This professional will create, coordinate and implement college recruitment strategies to screen and hire top notch entry level engineering candidates and work with engineering managers to identify recruiting opportunities, interview and hire candidates.
Essential functions for this role include: * Develop, coordinate, and implement new college recruitment strategies for attracting and retaining entry level engineering candidates * Proactively recruit, screen and interview for engineering positions at designated college campuses * Travel as needed to attend job fairs, campus informational meetings and interview sessions, and other events on campus to increase Garmin's presence and generate interest * Coordinate print, internet, and other advertisement sources to generate interested Engineering candidates * Track recruiting sources, advertising costs, college recruiting hires and statistics * Confer with Engineering managers to understand staffing needs, workforce planning strategies and search assignments * Work closely with engineering managers to understand technical job duties, responsibilities and business requirements * Work closely with Engineering Recruitment Staff to suggest, coordinate, and implement creative and innovative recruitment strategies * Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates * Create and foster relationships with colleges, professors, career services, faculty and diverse professional organizations to attract, recruit and maintain top candidates * Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to positions * Provide complete, accurate and inspiring information to candidates about the company and positions * Conduct presentations about the company, its engineering job opportunities, culture, and benefits * Track candidates and ensure complete and thorugh documentation for candidates is recorded and stored appropriately in Garmin's Applicant Tracking System Other responsibilities for this role include: * Assist with continuous improvement of Garmin's internship programs, including planning and coordinating events, housing, presentations, and evaluations * Accept and complete projects and other miscellaneous Human Resources duties as assigned Qualified candidates for this role will possess the following education, experience and skills: * Bachelors Degree or above equivalent education or experience * 2 years proven recruiting experience * Must be self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment * Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately * Proficient computer skills in Word and Excel * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others * Must be organized and possess efficient follow up skills * Must be flexible to attend recruitment events * Possess excellent presentation skills and possess public speaking experience * Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks * Must be detail-oriented * Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time Desirable qualifications for this role include: * Previous college relations recruitment experience * Previous engineering recruitment experience * Previous experience using Taleo or a similar Applicant Tracking System
