Data Security Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Data Security Engineer will be responsible to provide expert planning, design, implementation and monitoring of complex security projects in support of company business units while complying with all established corporate policies and procedures. This position will utilize highly technical and physical forensics to ensure that security policies, standards and best business practices are followed in and around the company Wide Area Network. Will use penetration testing tools to perform regular IT vulnerability assessments of internal, DMZ and external devices. Will assist security managers in best business qualities of policies requested by resource owners; define, develop, and communicate process for implementing new policies. This position will also be responsible for identifying unauthorized changes to authentication and authorization systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Requirements: Bachelors degree is preferred. 7+ years expertise in information security or a related field is required. Previous experience in two of these platforms: Networking, UNIX and/or MS Windows are required. CISSP certification preferred. Mastery of design, configuration, implementation, management of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, authentication, authorization and accounting systems is required. Successful candidates must have strong leadership skills, customer service skills, time management skills and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this role.
