Description: GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY: Assist with day to day operation of ELISA analyses of oral fluid, sweat patch, and urine samples for the presence of drugs.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
* Operation of automated Hamilton pipettors
* Operation of manual single and multi-channel pipettors
* Operation of DSX automated plate processors
* Operation of microplate washer and reader
* Review and release of analytical results
* Assist in instrument maintenance, QC, troubleshooting and operations.
* Preparation of reagents and maintenance of basic laboratory equipments (glassware, pipettes, etc.)
* Assist with maintaining an inventory of consumables and receiving and stocking supplies.
* Read and follow laboratory SOP?s.
* Assist with preparations for inspections
* Keep work area neat and clean
* Log daily calibrator/control data in QC log
* Maintain and protect the confidentiality of all CRL and client information.
* Be able to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations that would apply to this job.

Required Skills: EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
EXPERIENCE: Previous laboratory experience
SKILLS & ABILITIES: Able to perform analytical technological functions, i.e., communication, analytical problem solving, mechanical ability.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: At least half of working time is spent standing or walking. Lifting and maneuvering reagent bottles (up to 20 lbs.) over shoulder height.
EQUIPMENT: Must operate and maintain automated testing instrumentation
OTHER: Must be able to work overtime as necessary to complete workload.
