This position requires creativity, scientific insight, constant learning and knowledge development within a fast paced dynamic environment. High levels of integrity, trust, and teamwork are essential. The Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Engineer will perform FEA to support Integrated Product Teams in the design of new and advanced ammunition technology products and manufacturing systems.
In this role the candidate will:
. Perform static and dynamic structural analysis using ABAQUS . Participate and support failure analysis investigations . Support manufacturing and tooling engineers to develop tool designs . Perform analytical model validation (running instrumented tests, DOE, data reduction etc.) . Support test engineering in development of test procedures . Correlate test results with analysis . Perform sensitivity analyses to determine design and manufacturing process robustness . Develop advanced design concepts for next-generation products to improve product reliability, performance, cost and quality
