Description:Our client is designing, building, integrating and providing operations support the first Marine Corps Enterprise IT Services (MCEITS)Datacenter, which will support the data processing requirements for the entire U.S. Marine Corps.
The MCEITS center provides application hosting capabilities, enterprise shared services, access to enterprise-wide information, collaboration and information sharing across business and warfighter domains.
The MCEITS program will provide the Marine Corps with a modernized IT-enabled capability for use in enterprise and expeditionary environments. This will include implementation of an IT infrastructure with application, service and data environments. Additionally,MCEITSwill deliver an IT infrastructure that can quickly, easily and securely adapt to evolving software, hardware, data, services and management requirements while providing an enhanced enterprise visibility that facilitates greater reuse of IT assets.
Responsible for operations and maintenance support to include: analysis, design, programming, implementation, technical documentation, testing, and maintenance for HP UCMDB, DDM products and tools.
Qualifications:
* Must haveUCMDB and Discovery & Dependency Mapping implementationexperience * Must have the ability to demonstrate the features and benefits of UCMDB and DDM includingGold Master Reports, Change Reports, Impact Analysis, etc * A thorough understanding of theOSI Model particularly Layers 2 * 7 *Systems Administrationbackground and experience is a plus * Knowledge of scripting languages such asPython, PERL * General understanding of servers, databases, application servers, web servers, security, firewalls, load balancing and networking concepts Responsible for operations and maintenance support to include: analysis, design, programming, implementation, technical documentation, testing, and maintenance forHP UCMDB, DDM products and tools
NGEN experience precludes candidates from consideration on this project.
Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
10-15 years of directly related computer systems analysis and/or programming experience.
Required: Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance in the first 6 months of employment Candidate must haveSecurity+or be able to achieve it quickly Candidate must be willing to achieve necessary Operating Systems certifications required by DoD.
Desired: Experience in operating, maintaining, and integrating Operations Manager with Network Node Manager, Performance Insight, Internet Services, and other HP software tools. BMC Remedyexperience Experience working in an enterprise environment. Familiarity with the DoDCertification and Accreditationprocess.
Desired:ITIL v3 Foundations
This position is in Kansas City, MO working with the USMC. DoD experience is preferred with knowledge of the Marine Corps IT environment.
