This position provides journeyman level mechanical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and window refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, including large absorption chillers, ice machines, walk-in freezers, pneumatic controls, air handlers, and water treatment equipment. Works from blueprints and sketches. Adjusts equipment, checks for gas leaks and faulty uired Skills * High school diploma or the equivalent preferred * Two years experience as a journeyman HVAC technician required * Must be member of local union * Valid driver''s license preferred * Knowledge of the standard practices, materials, tools, equipment, processes and techniques of the trade required, including use of torch and welder * Must be able to work from written and oral instructions, read diagrams and blueprints, and maintain standard records * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to carry equipment and supplies * Good dexterity, balance and coordination required to work from ladders and scaffolding * Position requires standing, lifting, climbing, reaching, stooping, bending, pulling, squatting, and walking * Must be able to wear half mast respirator to comply with OSHA requirements. Must be CFC certifiedRequired Experience Previous service related experience in a healthcare or industrial setting is preferred.
