Job Description:


Even as the economy is seeing itself in an economic standstill, MRIGlobal continues to thrive. Currently our facilities department has an opening for aSupervisor of Housekeeping(facility services). With Primary responsibilities consisting of managing staff, equipment and processes this position will report to the Director of Facilities Management. Additional duties include;

* Work with staff members to accomplish assigned activities and ensure efficiency.

* Manage two shifts while ensuring work hours are in accordance with MRI standard business hours.

* Take the initiative and lead by performing the duties of supervised employees when needed.

* Assists with the development of annual budget, plans, prepares monthly forecasts, and other administrative duties.

* Review recorded time on all timesheets of supervised employees.

* Determine appropriate date and time work should be completed and ensures tasks are completed when promised.

* Assign tasks to housekeeping and ground maintenance staff members to include all cleaning and grounds work activities.

* Inspect completed work for conformance and adherence to MRIGlobal standards.

* Coordinate activities to include mowing and weeding of lawns, trimming hedges, raking/disposing of refuse and snow removal in winter.

* Coordinate production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet these production schedules and Confers with other supervisors in order to coordinate housekeeping activities of individual departments.

* Analyze and resolves work related problems, assists workers in solving these problems, and if it can't be resolved then refers situation to department manager.

* Enforces safety regulations and ensures all employees perform job in a safe manner.

* Ensure each employee has situational awareness of their surroundings and applies a sense of urgency in an effort to expedite work as required.

* Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew


In order to be considered successful in this position the selected candidate will need to posses strong leadership skills and housekeeping experiences within the hospitality or healthcare field. Additional traits that we are looking for are;

* The ability to work effectively across organizational lines

* Ability to obtain a government security clearance as defined by our clients.

* Ability to work outside in adverse weather to include extreme heat and cold.

* Strong ability to solve complex problems and apply common sense solutions.

* Within this position the individual will be required to Stoop, bend, stand for long periods of time, lift up to 40 lbs and climb stairs.


Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with a minimum of 4 years related experience; or high school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent with minimum of six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to meet the government security investigation requirements, U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite.
