Local Programming Host
We are very excited about the opportunity of a Local Programming Host for our new expansion of local programming. This is an amzing opportunity for the right candidate that has has live and local television hosting experience.
The local programming host is responsible for preparing and hosting a local non-news 1-hour television show, along with other local non-news programming and special projects as needed.
Key Activities:
-Host non-news programming, sales related-programs and special projects: clearly and concisely present information; work from script and perform impromptu conversation as necessary -Report live on location -Reports and presents stories on station's newscasts, recorded programs and all entertainment properties -Present information conversationally and engage with audience on camera as well as through other multi-media platforms (i.e. blogs, writing internet articles). -Research and develop content for all platforms -Work cooperatively with assigned photographer on segments, if one is assigned. -Assist producer in preparing show -Knowledge and demonstration of editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws -Perform various community service activities for station, including performing as master of ceremonies for public service events and as host/hostess for station events -Periodically required to drive personal or company vehicle to cover various assignments -Perform other duties as needed and assigned
