We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer and a Pro-E CAD Designer to join our team of professionals in Kansas City, KS.
Vehicle Engineering: This position is primarily responsible for performing engineering duties in design and release of mechanical and electromechanical products and systems for airport tractors powered by diesel; gasoline, CNG, and pure electric battery / AC Induction Motor drivelines. Expect to design and release frames, axles, suspensions, brakes, steering, wheels, sheet metal, etc.
Pro-E Cad Designer: This position is primarily responsible for creating 3D models and 2D detail drawings using Pro-E Wildfire 4.0 for products described in the preceding mechanical
engineer overview.
Job responsibilities Mechanical Engineer:
Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and
manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
Engineers products or systems such as instruments, controls,1 engines, machines, and mechanical'; thermal, hydraulic! pi* heat transfer systems to ensure they meet best practices and customer expectations at the lowest cost
Project management of new vehicle designs and systems
Evaluates engineering change requests and recommends design modifications to eliminate production and assembly difficulties
Familiarizes with the ISO 9001 -2008 Requirements
Performs directed or assigned
Job responsibilities ProE Designer
Creating CAD 3D & 2D for a wide variety of parts including wheels, gears, axles, suspensions, mounts, frames, steering, sheet metal, etc. Working with engineers, R&D, and sales to understand design requirements and put into CAD accurately and quickly Document changes and updates
Familiarizes with the ISO 9001-2008 Requirements
Requirements:
Mechanical Engineer: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Mechanical Engineering from four-year college or university; plus at least two years of relative experience and/or training in such subjects as: Planetary drive axles design, Drive steer axle design, AC
traction motor integration into products, Vehicle designer for air plane Ground support equipment, Generators, air starts, mobile stairs, laboratory trucks, water carts, belt loaders, tractors, heaters, air conditioners
Working with R&D department, and final assembly, line to verify engineering solutions are easily put into production
Proficient at ProE software package
Project management skills a plus
Hydraulic, gear; suspension or frame design back a plus
Proficient at Pro-E software package with over 1 year of seat time in At Least 5 years of project management a plus. Experience with products mentioned in the overview a plus.
