POSITION SUMMARY Performs a variety of laboratory and diagnostic procedures in Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Serology, Coagulation and Phlebotomy on specimens obtained on clinic patients to provide information for diagnosing and combating disease. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM EDUCATION: Associate Degree w educational requirements as needed to become certified with the American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP), National Credentialing Agency (NCA), the American Medical Technologist (AMT), or must have completed an HEW approved school of Medical Technology or the successful completion of a United States Military Laboratory training program. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Previous Healthcare Experience preferred Any job related experience preferred 2 Years of experience in the clinical laboratory field required without a Baccalaureate Degree KNOWLEDGE: N/A REGISTRATION: SKILLS: Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize preferred Computer Systems preferred Equipment: Laboratory Instrumentation (Prefer experience with Sysmex KX21N or XS1000i series); durable equipment (centrifuges, cell counters, scales, ect.); blood collection and safety equipment preferred Organizational skills required Verbal Communication skills required Assessment skills required CERTIFICATION: Medical Laboratory Technician-MLT (ASCP) or Medical Laboratory Technician-MLT (AMT) or Clinical Laboratory Technologist-CLT (HEW) or United States Military Laboratory training program Certificate of Completion Completion preferred EOE
