PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
Maintain portfolio at an acceptable level of earnings with a high degree of credit quality.
Meet sales goals for deposits (including investment and trust sales), loans and client base growth goals.
Meet monthly calling goals (15 prospects, 10 existing clients)
Meet referral goals for M&I Financial Advisors, mortgage and commercial.
Minimize pricing exceptions and exceptions to private banking underwriting guidelines.
Adhere to documentation and compliance policies and procedures.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Manages a small to medium-sized portfolio of high net worth and/or high-income clients, acting as their primary contact and source for a full range of banking, trust, brokerage and investment services. Responsibilities include developing new client relationships from internal and external referrals, outside calling efforts, and general networking with centers of influence.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

SPECIFIC DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Selling ? Approximately 75%
Develop, retain, and expand financial relationships with high value clients by tailoring and customizing financial solutions to satisfy specific client needs in an effort to meet established individual and department goals.

Develop and maintain quality loan and deposit portfolios with an emphasis on profitability. Loan portfolios should reflect low delinquency and minimal losses while adhering to the corporation?s loan policy and private banking underwriting guidelines.

Conduct business development efforts through individual and joint presentations to existing and prospective clients.

Originate, process and service consumer loan requests; complete mortgage applications for specialist follow-up. Attend loan closings.

Recognize, qualify, and refer clients to appropriate areas to meet established referral goals. Make appropriate referrals to areas where referral goals are not established including but not limited to leasing, treasury management, commercial and business banking and retail branches.

Display strong negotiation skills and good business judgment when reviewing fees and recommending pricing.

Participate in social events and activities during and outside of regular business hours to meet and entertain existing and prospective clients and network with centers of influence.

Understand competitive environment and effectively sell to BMO Harris Bank's strengths.

Obtain referrals from existing and high value clients.

Maintain ongoing dialog with internal referral sources for new and expanded business opportunities.

Participate in small business lending when appropriate.
Actively participate in bank sponsored community activities.

General Administration ? Approximately 20%
Regularly update internal referral sources with progress reports on their referrals.

Monitor individual overdraft, past due loan and miscellaneous exception reports and take action to remove exceptions as necessary.

Actively participate in and facilitate sales, bank, and joint department meetings.

Actively utilize MiContacts system to record sales contact data.

Prepare and submit expense and sales related reports on a timely basis.

Provide feedback on client concerns relative to product features, pricing, and new product development needs.

Represent BMO Harris Bank in community affairs and civic organizations to support the Community Reinvestment Act.

Handle routine collection work.

Training ? Approximately 5%

Maintain a high level of financial services knowledge through internal and external training courses.
