Mandate:
Responsible for championing the commercial sales management leadership elements within the Region(s) for companies with sales range of $500,000-$10,000,000. Coordinates with retail segment for effective coverage of micro small business market; companies less than $500,000. Serves as member of management team with direct responsibility for development and risk mgmt of business relationships.
Accountabilities:
- Responsible for executing the commercial sales management process - Actively calls in market with team members and targets and clarifies sales behaviors - Establish sales goals both team and personal and tracks progress towards goals and provides feedback. - Long range planning and achieving business development objectives and fostering a customer service environment - Satisfying and exceeding customer needs and expectations and leadership and staff performance.
Duties:
- Execute the key activities on monthly, quarterly, semi-annual basis, as outlined in the attached description. - Target and clarify sales behaviors; establish sales goals, both team and personal. - Track progress towards goals and provide feedback. - Motivate CSMs, BDs and RMs for superior results. - Develop competence through sales meetings and coaching. - Set a sales performance example. - Layout specific strategies for markets around segmentations of customers/prospects/referral. - Identify key initiatives unique to market/territories. - Identify and coordinate regional sales training activities. - Management of portfolio growth and profitability including compliance with risk Management guidelines/ensures satisfactory audit processes are in place. - Manage professional reporting relationships with Commercial Sales Managers within the region(s). - Develop coverage model for customers, prospects, referral sources within region. - Contact customers for feedback on diminishment and defection. - Approves/recommends loans developed by relationship managers for compliance with lending objectives, policies and procedures. - Takes a leadership role in working with community groups, referral sources, and government bodies. - Inform region leadership as to progress against goals, that needs obstacles and behaviors. - Management of portfolio's growth and profitability of deposits, loans and fee income, ensuring accounts are managed efficiently, with account management resources and effort being directed to the more profitable accounts or industries. - Provides leadership through recognizing, coaching, stimulating, visioning and team building. - Represents the Bank/Banks in contacts with customers, business and trade associations. - Initiates and performs additional duties as needed.
