Job Description:
MRIGlobal has an immediate opening for a Security Officer at its facility in Grandview, MO. This position is to provide security support and assistance to MRIGlobal's facilities, property, persons, and visitors. The successful candidate will be working a 11pm to 7 am shift while he/she patrols to detect and report security incidents, safety hazards, and other unusual occurrences; take appropriate actions to protect lives and property; and notify supervisors or MRIGlobal's own Crisis Management Team of any situation that may endanger lives and/or property. This position also prepares accurate reports of all alarm responses, observations, findings, and activities as required.
Qualifications:
* High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three years experience in security, law enforcement, public safety or related field.
* Military service in appropriate disciplines would be considered a distinct plus.
* Ability to work nights and weekends.
* Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
* Ability to interface with a diverse, professional and highly educated staff.
* Maturity, good judgment and sound conflict/crisis intervention skills.
* Proven ability to perform well under highly stressful conditions.
* Ability to obtain an Industrial Security Clearance and a Kansas City, Missouri Police Commission.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to meet the government security investigation requirements, U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite.
