Senior Accountant
Sr. Accountant is a multi-task position responsible for areas relating to financial reporting including but not limited to general ledger, fixed assets, sales tax compliance, and year-end audit activities.Reports to and works with the Controller to ensure financial reporting is timely and accurate.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support accounting department in the areas of accounting, analysis and reporting.
Perform various monthly and quarterly close activities (i.e. reviewing G/L account detail, journal entry preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, etc.).
Responsible for accrual activity including booking of accruals and the reconciliation of balances.
Work with sales managers on monthly sales commission calculations and payments.
Produce & distribute various standard and ad-hoc reports.
Maintain fixed asset accounting records.
Prepare sales tax reports and monitor compliance issues.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Requirements:
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA a plus
5 – 7 years experience with financial reporting/general ledger
Manufacturing and international accounting experience a plus
Strong PC proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
10 key by touch
Self starter able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail with minimal errors
