The Senior Advisory Consulting Analyst supports consultants who manage client accounts by researching, analyzing, and evaluating data from medical, dental, life and disability benefits plans and programs for employers with 500 - 5,000 employees. To fulfill this role, the analyst will handle a variety of tasks on the following topics:

Request for Proposals (RFPs): To complete the RFP process, the analyst gathers the health benefits information from a variety of sources (such as hard files, electronic files, the client and carriers), coordinates responses from the carriers and inputs data and maintains all appropriate documentation.

Client issues: The analyst will research client issues by contacting carriers and vendors on behalf of the client and determine when issues need to be escalated to a consultant.

Summary Plan Description (SPD) Reviews: Reviews the SPD from the carrier and compares it to the client's benefits for accuracy; follows up with the carriers to make any necessary changes are made.

Reporting: Collects claim and utilization data from insurance carriers on a monthly/quarterly basis and analyzes and interprets the data for trends; prepares customized,client ready reports to deliver to consultant for peer review.
* BA/BS degree is preferred
* One to three years health benefit experience required
* Strong analytical and mathematical skills; strong command of Excel
* Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills
* Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
* Ability to work independently and on a team
* State Life Accident & Health License must be obtained within three months of hire date
