We are currently seeking a Sr. Manager to join our Federal Tax practice in our Kansas City office.
Responsibilities: * Conduct Research and Development (R&D) project management * Manage R&D credit studies and related activities * Develop and sustain excellent client relationships during delivery of R&D services * Active role in new business development, including add-on business * Assist other R&D Project Managers with the delivery of engagements as needed, including research and writing with regard to technical issues * Provide R&D Quality Assurance, Engagement Reviewer and Exam Support Qualifications: * Ten years of experience in federal income taxes within a public accounting firm or corporation * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university * Licensed CPA or J.D./LL.M. (Please note that any candidate hired by KPMG into this position that doesn't currently possess one of the aforementioned credentials/designations will be required to secure one within one year from the commencement of employment) * Experience with large project management, including managing multiple client engagements and client service teams * Technical skills and experience with tax accounting method related Internal Revenue Code Sections (including, but not limited to, Sections 167, 168, 263, 446, 451, 461, 471, 472, 481), corresponding regulations and relevant judicial and administrative authority * Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate complex technical and financial information KPMG offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
