Sr. Systems Engineer
The Sr. Systems Engineer/Storage will be responsible for deploying and supporting company infrastructure and application stack. This will require coordination with multiple technical parties including IT application development, systems, network, and security administrators.
This position will help triage and coordinate troubleshooting of application issues in development and production and will identify opportunities to improve availability, reliability, and performance of application infrastructure.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in UNIX administration and support
8+ years of Storage experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related curriculum and/or 5+ years experience in a technical role supporting n-Tier app infrastructure is required. Applicable certifications and/or professional training are preferred. ITIL Foundations Certification and advanced knowledge of Internet fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, HTTP) preferred. Advanced UNIX and Windows administration skills are required. Advanced knowledge of FC SAN, Enterprise Directors and NAS are required. Advanced knowledge of SUSE, Solaris, and/or AIX are also required. Veritas clustering & volume management preferred. Successful candidates must have strong customer service skills, project management skills and problem solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this role.
