Description Advantage Metals Recycling, a leading metals recycling company known for our quality people, superior product and excellent customer service is currently seeking for a Non Ferrous-Supervisor.

Reports To: Non-Ferrous Manager

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist manager in plant safety and operations on a day-to-day basis.
2. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers.
3. Establish production work schedules.
4. Assist manager in people development activities such as hiring, training, developing and coaching staff.
5. Serve as a role model, support and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental policies and practices.
6. Support manager in long-range planning and budgeting.
7. Work closely with Commercial Team to keep them informed when non-ferrous commodities need to be sold.
8. Schedule non-ferrous shipments to end consumers.
9. Coordinate the transfer of non-ferrous material between AMR locations for processing.
10. Conduct monthly inventory.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education:

1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering or related field preferred.
3. In lieu of degree, must have a minimum of 3 years management experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.

Experience:

1. Safety oriented.
2. Experience in, or association with scrap processing operations or manufacturing with heavy equipment.
3. Knowledge of inventory management, shipping and receiving material using lean manufacturing principles.
4. Proven ability to communicate with all levels of customers.
5. Good verbal and written communication skills.
6. Skilled and experienced with personal computers, software, spreadsheets and databases (e.g. Microsoft word, excel, outlook).
7. Ability to plan, manage and prioritize work; adapt to a changing environment; strong organized approach to work.
8. Demonstrated skill in initiating and managing projects; building and leading a project team.
9. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.
