POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN), the Unit Secretary completes clerical and receptionist duties such as answering the phone, transcribing and entering physician orders into computers, and organizing the nursing unit in an efficient, safe, and neat manner. Expectations listed below are within the role of Unit Secretary, however specialty units may not routinely require all expectations.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Prior healthcare experience preferred
