Division Marketing City Overland Park State Kansas [KS] Job Title Value Add Program Manager Job Overview The Value Add Programs Manager is part of the Marketing Communications team and is primarily responsible for evaluating trends in the financial marketplace and creating educational and training materials designed to help financial advisors maximize ongoing opportunities. This includes topic focused reports/articles, presentations, workbooks, emails, etc. targeted at both the advisor and client audience. This position will gather information from industry experts, as well as work with internal subject matter experts, to evaluate opportunities, synthesize research and information into organized, understandable sales/marketing formats, and establish priorities. Responsibilities . Research, write and edit educational and training materials. . Manage timely production and distribution of value add programs. . Work with subject matter experts to gather and analyze industry information for use in both advisor and client programs. . Meet with internal marketing managers to discuss specific projects and offer ideas on concepts or execution. . Research specific issues related to products or industry issues as needed. . Work with legal/compliance staff to ensure material is accurate and complies with applicable company, SEC and FINRA rules or procedures.
Skills & Experience Needed . Bachelor's Degree in journalism, marketing, economics or English and professional writing experience. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of writing experience in a broker/dealer setting, or corporate, PR/Ad agency or newspaper setting. . Experience in the financial services industry, especially the broker/dealer or mutual fund industry, is required. . An exceptional communicator with the ability to convert complex messages into a simple repeatable sales story . Track record of developing programs and presentations that enhance productivity and help drive sales . Superior grammar and editing skills to create material of the highest quality. . Requires good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously within deadlines. . Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. . A demeanor and style to successfully work with a variety of people at all levels of the company. . Series 6 license desired, but not mandatory.
