Vice President - Business Development
The
VP-Business Development brings supervisory leadership experience to about 10-12 regional team members in business
development of full array of financial services, and contributes to team results through own portfolio growth, management and retention.
We’re looking for a supervisory team leader and ag loan portfolio manager who…• brings several years of highly successful influencing and supervisory lending/financial services experience to lead team’s
business development objectives and coach others for increased success.
• demonstrates a vision for successfully leading a business development team serving farmers and ranchers and those who
choose to live and work in rural America.
• understands production and financial management needs of crop and livestock producers, and rural residents.
• develops and leverages engaging professional visibility in the marketplace.
• has or quickly develops high competence in association credit and service principles and understanding to lead team’s
success in marketing all deliverable financial services.
• builds and maintains positive relationships with internal team members, member customers, customers’ advisors and
industry leaders to market, service and retain own loan portfolio.
• capably leverages the knowledge and collaborative support provided by internal financial analyst, crop insurance, appraiser
and business services teams.
• demonstrates ability to bring results to and through the team as a strong collaborative leader and marketer.
• astutely identifies marketplace opportunities, then leads to achieve team and company goals.
• proactively and appropriately ensures team’s compliance with internal lending and credit principles, policies and procedures.
• values relationships, trusts processes, and respects the knowledge and talents of others to accomplish own and team’s work
to provide highest-quality customer-centric service.

Requirements:
You’ll bring to us experience and traits including…• successful experience in management of business development team and ag loan portfolio growth and servicing.
• experience or strong knowledge of production, business management, marketing, or finance of agricultural operations.
• demonstrated prior success in relationship marketing that increased customer value and achieved company objectives.
• at least a Bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics, finance, business, marketing or similar discipline.
• the capacity to develop expert knowledge, and apply lending principles and credit procedures to loan documentation, pricing,
collateral evaluation, and loan compliance for successful team portfolio leadership.
• critical thinking skills that lead to making and executing consistently sound credit and marketing decisions.
• the ability to drive on a daily or regular basis within territory to meet current and potential clients.
• flexibility to plan and balance multiple activities, with demonstrated record of working accurately and effectively to achieve
customer and internal work team timelines. Capably manages heavy workloads and competing priorities.
• demonstrated ability for both leadership and followership to thrive in a team environment.
• highly developed written, oral, interpersonal and presentation communication skills coupled with strong technology proficiency.
• consistent demonstration of exemplary personal and professional integrity, confidentiality and conduct.
